Amikor elkészítettem a laminált magyar I típusú íjat, már akkor sejthető volt, hogy nem fogok megállni ennél az egy típusnál. Mivel szeretem feszegetni a határokat, és a kíváncsiság is hajtott, hozzáláttam a laminált magyar II típusú íj elkészítéséhez. Továbbá az is inspirált, hogy a gyanta íjaim mellett, ebből is készítsek egy sorozatot.

Hosszas tervezgetés után arra az elhatározásra jutottam, hogy a gyanta magyar II típusú íjamat veszem alapul. A karok dőlésszöge (a markolathoz mérve), megegyezik a már jól bevált gyanta magyar II típusú íj karjainak dőlésszögével. Innentől kezdve már csak a kivitelezés volt hátra.

Meglepő módon egy sokkal karakteresebb íjat sikerült alkotni, már ami a kéthalmmosságot illeti. Sokkal jobban visszatükrözi az őseink által használt íjak formáját. A meglepetés ezzel még nem ért véget, hisz egy sokkal dinamikusabb íj születésének lehettem tanúja.

Ezt a típusú íjat azon íjászoknak ajánlom, akik már elsajátították az ajzási technikát és csavarás mentesen ajzák az íjat. Ajánlott ennél a típusnál az ajzószíj használata, mivel hajlamosabb a kicsavarodásra. Felajzott állapotban viszont rendkívül stabilan működik, dinamikáját tekintve jelentősen gyorsabb a laminált magyar I típusú íjamnál.

When I completed the Hungarian Laminated Type I bow, it was already clear to me that I wouldn’t stop at just one type. Driven by passion for pushing boundaries and my curiosity, I began working on the Hungarian Laminated Type II bow. Additionally, I was inspired to create a series alongside my resin bows.

After careful planning, I decided to base this new bow on my Hungarian Resin Type II model. The angle of the limbs relative to the grip matches that of the proven resin Type II bow. From there, only execution remained.

Surprisingly, I managed to craft a bow with much more character, especially regarding its reflex-deflex shape. It better reflects the form of the bows used by our ancestors. The surprises didn’t end there, as this bow proved to be significantly more dynamic.

I recommend this bow to archers who have already mastered the proper stringing technique and can string the bow without twisting. The use of a bow sling is advised with this model, as it tends to twist more easily. However, once strung, it operates very reliably and is significantly faster in terms of dynamics than my laminated Hungarian Type I bow.
